The Tower of Prabhutaratna Tathagata 

-the Tower of the towers

 

 

Dabotap, the Tower of Prabhutaratna Tathagata Buddha, is a Tower in

which Prabhutaratna Buddha teaches and leads numerous Bodhisattvas

Mahasattvas; it is the King of the towers originally made of light that only

the eyes of a Buddha can see.

  This five storied Tower here in Hyonjisa, Yongsan Buddhism, only the

size of which has been reduced, is a reproduction of the Tower of

Prabhutaratna Tathagata Buddha in the Absolute Realm appearing in the

Chapter of the Appearance Jeweled Stupa in the Lotus Sutra as it

emerged out of the ground at the time of the life-giving ceremony of the

Vairocana Hall (15th October 2552 the Buddhist Era of the lunar calendar).

  When there is a great Dharma talk of the Buddha as in the Lotus Sutra,

and an important event, Prabhutaratna Tathagata Buddha always emerges

out of the ground with this tower in order to prove that the Dharma talk is

true, and shares a seat with Sakyamuni Buddha. When Great Monks

Gwangmyong Manduk and Jajae Manhyon of Hyonjisa attained

Buddhahood, when the establishment of Yongsan Buddhism was declared,

and when life was given to the image of Pure Dharmakaya Vairocana

Buddha and to this Tower of Prabhutaratna Tathagata, it emerged out of

the ground to prove the truth.

  As life has been given to this Tower by the Great Monks, Gwangmyong

Manduk and Jajae Manhyon who have attained Buddhahood, this is the

only Tower of Prabhutaratna Tathagata in the world that has life, and

Prabhutaratna Buddha and numerous Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas can

display their universally awesome spiritual powers for propagation of the

true Dharma, and for defence of this nation and world peace.

  Also, we have manufactured copperplates containing the contents of the

questions and answers that we have exchanged with the Buddha about the

core part of the Lotus Sutra, and have enshrined them in this Tower in

order to be of great help to all those who will live in the distant future in

interpreting this Sutra.

  We earnestly hope that you will piously worship this Tower with a clean,

pure body and mind that will become another treasure in the global

community following Vairocana Buddha of Hyonjisa.
