An Interview with a Reporter on the Thoughts of Yongsan Buddhism-3

Will it be correct if I understand the real
existence of the Buddha that you have
declared as this Reward Body Buddha?
Taking this opportunity, could you please
explain the Buddha Body(佛身) to us more in
detail?

The theory of the Buddha Body(佛身論) is an
important part that is the essence of the essence
and the highest level in the doctrine of Buddhism.
The theory of the Three Bodies of the Buddha
appears in sutras and treaties, but they are abstract
and incorrect.  It is impossible to realize the theory
of the Buddha Body correctly unless one reaches
the level of a Buddha; especially, scholars will be
faced with a great limitation to grasp theoretically.
Yongsan Buddhism has put forward correct and
concrete theory of the Three Bodies on the basis
of experiences of the Great Monks.

The three forms of the Bodies that the Buddha
has are the Dharma Body Buddha(法身佛), the
Reward   Body     Buddha  (報身佛), and   the
Transformation Body Buddhas(化身佛).

The Dharma Body Buddha is the formless
universal light of a Buddha who has become one
with the whole Dharma realm of the universe.  As
the Dharma  Body Buddha has the concept of
covering the whole Dharma  realm beyond the
universe, his light is different at its level from that
of self nature that exists beyond the phenomenal
world.  It is the original body of a Buddha Body,
and a Real Buddha.  This Dharma Body Buddha
exists, transcending sense and form. So he does
not think nor discriminate.  He always shines over
the Dharma realm of the universe. What is more,
there is no place where this light does not shine.
Therefore, there is no place where he does not
abide,

A Reward Body Buddha is an original Buddha
with a form,  whose  existence  relies  on  the
Dharma  Body  Buddha.  A Reward Body Buddha
is a Body made of  light  and a  Body   with
blessings that a Buddha Body of a Buddha and
his four  spiritual bodies   are  completely put
together.  A Reward Body Buddha is the central
Buddha who possesses 32 bodily signs and 80
marks, who thinks and judges  as a body  with
human character, and who saves sentient beings.
As a Reward Body Buddha is made of a billion
kinds   of  transparent   and lucid  Immeasurable
Light,   he does  not  become  extinct  through all
eternity,   and can  display universal awesome
spiritual  powers, freely  entering  the  utmost
samadhi,  namely samadhi  of great  quiescence.
The Buddha on whom we must rely is no other
than this Reward Body Buddha.
The Transformation Body Buddhas who are the
third Bodies mean the Buddhas who manifest in
thousands, millions,  and billions of  Bodies to
save sentient beings.  A Reward Body Buddha can
manifest  countless numbers   of Transformation
Body      Buddhas    as    necessary.   These
Transformation Body Buddhas are independent
Bodies with human character,  and perform
activities  of saving sentient beings.

The view  of the Buddha  Body asserted by
Tibetan  Buddhism,  and  that  asserted  by Seon
Buddhism  are  both  very mistaken views.  Tibetan
Buddhism understands the pure illusory body
that   a   mind-made body  (意生身)    of    a
practitioner has created by receiving the light of
original nature    of   the universe (淨光明, vimala-
prabhasa of jing guang ming) as a reward   body,  but
this is a relatively low-grade body with a limited
lifespan that  cannot daringly  be compared  with
the Reward Body in  the  theory  of the  Buddha
Body.  There is more than a world of difference
between the two.  Also, Seon Buddhism is looking
for the three bodies of the Buddha in Mind (self
nature, 自性三身), but I definitely tell you that this
is also  a  false  speech,  saying  without  any
knowledge of   the aspect  of  the Buddha.  It is
clearly stated in 'the Parable' in the Lotus Sutra.

An Interview with a Reporter on the Thoughts of Yongsan Buddhism-2

Speaking about the Dharma realm
of Yongsan Buddhism - new Buddhism
of the universal truth!

If it is true, I think that the person whom the
sentient beings who have committed a lot of

sin can  rely  on  is  only  the Buddha.  Taking
this opportrnity, could you please explain the
salvation power of the Buddha in detail?

I  will speak about myself according to what I,
Jajae Manhyon, have attained through practice.
We have lived, committing numerous sins during
the countless kalpas of lives.  The evil karma that
we have committed will be all reflected in our
spiritual bodies.  All evil karma that has been
reflected in us, and that will be reflected in the
future is called karmic hindrance(業障).  Karmic
hindrance is the culprit that interrupts a happy life
and gives sufferings.  Unfortunately, we sentient
beings carry on the back karmic hindrance as
great as a high mountain all the time.  If we do not
eliminate the karmic hindrance, we cannot be
freed from  the sufferings  of transmigration.
Therefore, we can tell that elimination of karmic
hindrance is a process of making the spiritual
bodies clean.  It is the purpose of all Buddhists to
escape from the sufferings of transmigration and
proceed to the realm of liberation.  The purpose of
practice in Buddhism is also the same.

Meanwhile, if one does not receive all karmic
retribution, karmic hindrance that has been
implanted in one's spiritual bodies will never be
annihilated except for the elimination of karmic
hindrance by virtue of empowerment of the
Buddha only.  This is no other than the salvation
power that only the Buddha possesses.  This is the
unique and rare ability of the Buddha that can
save the human beings.  No other leader of any
other religion,  no  enlightenment  seeking
practitioner, nor super human possesses this
ability.  Thus it is said that only Buddhism is the
real religion of salvation.  As the Buddha who
possesses this ability abides in true suchness in
the Absolute Realm in Selflessness, real salvation
is possible.

You, the Great Monk, has first declared
real existence of the Buddha, "The Buddha
abides in true suchness in the Absolute
Realm in Selflessness."  Could you please tell
us where the Buddha who entered nirvana
2600 years or so ago has gone, and in what
appearance he does exist?

This is an important  and  valid  question.   The
Buddha attained Buddhahood for the first time as
a human nayuta, asankhya, and countless kalpas
ago; he has come to the saha world many times as
a human during that long time to teach and save
sentient beings.  The story of the Buddha having
attained Buddhahood from the immeasurable past
(久遠實成) have clearly been stated in the Chapter
on Duration of Life of the Tathagata; I confirm
that all these are the true facts.

2600 years ago, the Buddha came to the land of
India, attained Buddhahood, has taught and saved
sentient beings for 45 years, and entered great
nirvana under the twin sala trees.  Then where has
the Buddha who has entered nirvana gone?  No
one has told us about this issue to date.  Present
Buddhist circles understand that he has returned
to emptiness (空) that is the original nature of the
universe, and to tranquil extinction; and that he
has not left behind any existence with form.  But
this   is  not  true.  It  is  definitely  an  incorrect
statement.   When  the  Buddha  entered great
nirvana, the four spiritual bodies made of the
mass of light have come out of his physical body.
The spiritual bodies of the Buddha in light mass
that came out of his physical body have combined
into his Reward Body Buddha (Nosana Buddha)
made of the Immeasurable Light who abides in
true   suchness  in  the  Absolute  Realm  in
Selflessness, namely in the Lotus Treasury Realm
that  is  the  most  profound  dimension  in  the
universe.    He    dwells   there   even   now.
Consequently, the Buddha did not become extinct
through all eternity and is still alive.

If the Buddha decides that he will come to the
saha world  as a human again, his four spiritual
bodies will come out of his Reward Body Buddha;
will meet with his parents who have a close tie
with him; and will be born into a human body.

An Interview with a Reporter on the Thoughts of Yongsan Buddhism

Speaking about the Dharma realm
of Yongsan Buddhism - new Buddhism
of the universal truth!

Present Buddhism
that does not recognize
the existence of the Buddha,
and the spiritual bodies
as the subject of transmigration
must be changed for the better.

'Hyonjisa' is the mecca
of Buddhism of the true Dharma,
an also is the cradle
of salvation of sentient beings
and that of protection of this nation
and world pace
through Buddhism.

The Holy Land Hyonjisa,
                                  Yongsan Buddhism

is where Sakyamuni Buddha adides all the
time.

This is a holy place where Nosana Buddha
who is the original Buddha(the Reward Body
Buddha) of Buddha the World-Honoured, and
many Buddhas reside all the time.
Especially,  Great  Monk  Gwangmyong
Manduk(Kasyapa at the time of he assembly of the
Spirit Mountain) and  Great Monk Jajae
Manhyon (Ananda) are praching the true
Dharma at Hyonjisa( 顯智寺) of Yongsan
Buddhism.  This temple does not stand
deep in the mountain: not in downtown of a
deep in the mountain: not in downtown of a
bustling city but in the northern suburbs of
Chuncheon City; north of the 38/th parallel line
forming a boundary with Hwacheon County.
Also, the temple is situated at the upper
region of the Bukhan River (which flows to the
Chuncheon Ddm) where it rests a short while,
having originated in the Diamond Mountain in
North Korea.  Then it flows on and down
again, carrying with it the dream of unification.

Hyonjisa (顯智寺) has been named by the
Buddha and has the meaning of "a temple in
which  the  wisdom  of  the  Buddha is
completely  revealed."  Yongsan  Buddhis
has the meaning in which many disciples at
the time of  the Buddha and numerous
Buddhists who have followed his teaching
gather again according to cause and
conditions, establish a religious foundation,
restore his teaching at the time of the Spirit
Mountain of Ancient India to its original
shape, and spread it far and wide again.

We have visited the two Great Monks who
have   reached   the  utmowt   stage   as
practitioners of Buddhism, and listened to his
answers to important questions as to the
Buddhist doctrine that have endlessly been
raised.  We intend to seek the direction that
present Buddhism has to take through the
answers that Yongsan Buddhism gives us.

  Buddhism says hat sentient beins
transmigrate in  the six realms.  If a person
dies, is there indeed such a realm that he
goes to?

▶ It is a very appropriate question.  If one passes
away, it is true that everything does not end.  Our
physical body dies, but our spiritual bodies never
die  through all eternity,  and keep  their lives
turning  around  the  six  realms  such  as  Hell,
hungry  ghosts, animals,  humans, asuras,  and
heavens.  This  is  no  other  than  transmigration
within  the  six  tealms  that  the  Buddha  has
expounded.  The  six  realms of transmigration are
not in  one's  mind, but  they are our reality that
undoubtedly exiss.

The spiritual bodies that enter the Court for the
Deceased will be judged by the Ten Great Kings
for 49 days, and hen the realm that he will go to
will be decided according to their judgment.
Those who have committed a lot of heavy sin
such as the taking of life will fall down into Hell.
Hell is also divided into the five kinds of hells,
namely   the  extremely  unremitting   hells,  the
unremitting hells, the heavy sinner hells, te ligt
sin hells, and the waiting hells according to the
degree of suffering.  There are also numerous hells
in each kin f hell,  In the hells below the heavy
sinner hells, punishment as severe as the spiritual
bodies  are  feinted  is automatically immposed.
Those who are avaricious or stingy will receive
the retribution of becoming hungry ghosts that
always suffer from hunger.  If a person acts like an
animal, he will receive  the retribution  of an
animal.  Those ho lived a virtuous life will be
born as humans,  or will enjoy happiness in the
three  good destinies of pleasures.  A saint who has
been freed from transmigration, of course, goes to
the realm of liberation in which he can enjoy
permanent bliss.

Meanwhile, if people die, the absolute majority
of them fall down into the heavy sinner hell.  The
sufferings are so severe that one cannot bear to
see the scene, opening one's eyes.  So I say to you
sincerely, "Please do not commit sin, please never
commit sin, and please never commit sin no
matter what great loss one may suffer.
