In closing, could you please say a few
words for a better future of present world
Buddhist circles and of  Buddhism of this
country?


   I, Jajae Manhyon, have important words to
speak to the world   Buddhist circles,  and
male/female  monks   and  male/female   lay
Buddhists.
    I sincerely entreat you to listen to thses truthful
words.
   The  Buddha abides in true suchness as a
human  character in  the form  of   light in the
Absolute Realm in Selflessness.
   Sakyamuni Buddha is the Lord of the universe,
and the very first Buddha.
   The Buddha possesses limitless awesome
spiritual  powers  so  that  there  nothing is
impossible.
   Hell and the Realm of Utmost  Bliss (the Western
Pure Land) do not exist in your mind, but these are
the places that really exist like our human world.
   Great  Monk  Gwangmyong Manduk was the
Noble Disciple Kasyapa in her previous life, and
has attained Buddhahood in this life.
   I, Jajae Manhyon, was the Noble Disciple
Ananda in my previous life, and have attained
Buddhahood in this life.
   The Buddha in his Reward Body, not in a
Transformation  Body,   dwells   at   Hyonjisa,
Hyonjigung in South Korea all the time, and
manifests himself.
   Yongsan   Buddhism   is   the only  religious
foundation of the true Dharma in the world that
has succeeded the Dharma lineage of the Buddha.
   Hyonjisa is the Mecca of the true Dharma and
the cradle of salvation of sentient beings and of
protection of this nation and world peace through
Buddhism.
   The real substance of a human is the spiritual
bodies; and these spiritual bodies are the subject
of transmigration.
   The theory   of  'no self' is the definition
confined to the phenomenal realm; and the beings
in the realm of original substance are not in 'no
self' but in 'existent self'(有我= true self).
   The only way to become a Buddha or a
Bodhisattva is to recite the sacred name of
Sakyamuni Buddha.
   When we talk about the realm  of tranquil
extinction of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas above
liberation, the great real aspect of Buddhism
reveals at last.



   My dear respectable monks and lay Buddhists!

   Hyonjisa has opened the assembly of the
Buddha for the first time some 2600 years after
the passing of the Buddha.

   Present Buddhism that has been distorted and
become diminutive is unable to save human
beings.

   Present empty and  superficial  Buddhism
saying that the Buddha does not exist, and that
the subject of transmigration (the spiritual bodies)
does not exist,  must  cease perpetuating these
fallacies.

   Buddhism must restore its iriginal appearance,
namely the universal truth as soon as possible,
and settle down as the religion for salvation of all
mankind.

   We sincerely hope that my dear Buddhists will
enthusiastically be concerned and participate in
this great journey of opening a new era for the
true  Dharma.

  If one who has attained Buddhahood has
appeared in the country, it is a very joyous
occasion to celebrate not only in the
Buddhist circles, but also for the country and
for the world.  Could you please personally
tell us a few words about the two Great
Monks?


  If one who has attained Buddhahood has
appeared in this country, this is the greatest
occasion to celebrate since the dawn of history in
Korea; and it is a most extraordinary event
throughout the world.  It is because a Buddha is a
rare universal saint who can be born about once
in a kalpa.  In fact, Noble Disciple Subhuti
(Myongsang Buddha) and   Noble  Disciple
Shariputra (Hwagwang Buddha)  have attained
Buddhahood respectively in  China and Korea, but
they did not appear and just entered great nirvana.
The   Buddha  has made  an extraordinary
declaration through the preface of my book about
the Great Monk Gwangmyong Manduk and Jajae
Manhyon of Hyonjisa.  As the Buddha has already
declared, I think I should tell you of the true story
personally in my own words now.  Guarantee on
my attainment of Buddhahood as stated in the
Lotus Sutra was realized in January 2000; I, Jajae
Manhyon have accomplished the greatest wish of
my lifetime.  Also,  Great  Monk  Gwangmyong
Manduk had attained Buddhahood one year and
several months before me.  I would like to tell you
that Great Monk Gwangmyong Manduk as the
Dharma Prince of  Buddha the World-Honoured
has a very high status in the realm of the Buddhas.
As I  have previously explained, I was the final
body of Noble Disciple Ananda at the time of the
assembly of the Spirit Mountain, and Great Monk
Gwangmyong Manduk the final body of  Kasyapa.
This is all true.  This is the truth indeed.



     You   said   that   a   Buddha   would   be
produced once in a kalpa.  By the way, it has
been some 2600 years since the Buddha
came to the world,  but how can we
understand that the two Buddhas have
already been produced?


   That is a good question.  That a Buddha is
produced once in a kalpa does not mean that a
Buddha will be produced in regular sequence
every time when a kalpa passes.  We have to take
this as an average period.  Also, I would like to
tell you one more thing for your reference.  The
Buddha did not attain Buddhahood in India for
the first time, for he had become a Buddha for the
first time as a human countless kalpas before;
afterwards he received human bodies many times
in the saha world.  So he is not included in the
definition of "A Buddha is produced once in a
kalpa."

I understand that many Buddhists come to
Hyonjisa from across the country at the time
of the Dharma assembly of the Great Monk.
Could you please tell us at this opportunity if
Hyonjisa has a special difference from other
temples.


  When there is a Dhrama talk at Hyonjisa, some
1000 Buddhists attend from across the country at
all times.  Buddhists even come to attend our
assemblies,crossing the waters from Jejudo and
Japan. Speaking about the difference from other
temples in a word, Hyonjisa is the only temple
that has the perfect Three Treasures, namely the
Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.

  First, Hyonjisa is the only temple in the world
where the Nosana Buddha who is the Reward
Body Buddha (the original Buddha) of Sakyamuni
Buddha abides all the time and manifests himself.
Transformation   Body   Buddhas  of  Sakyamuni
Buddha abide in some of other temples, but the
Reward  Body  Buddha does not abide there.
Moreover,  there  are  temples  where  even a
Transformation  Body  Buddha does not abide.

  Second,  Hyonjisa is the temple where the two
Great  Monks who have attained  Buddhahood
reside.  So we receive the teachings directly from
the original Buddha, namely Sakyamuni Buddha.
As   we   open  the assembly  of  the  Buddha,
Hyonjisa is the only temple of the true Dharma
in the saha world that has completely succeeded
the Dharma lineage of the Buddha.  Consequently,
Hyonjisa possesses the Dharma treasure  (法寶)
perfectly.

  Third,  Hyonjisa is the only temple in the world
where Great Monk Gwangmyong Manduk, the
final body of Noble Disciple Kasyapa, and Great
Monk Jajae Manhyon, the final body of  Noble
Disciple Ananda, have attained Buddhahood in
this life; and where they bring up their disciples,
and teach and save sentient beings.  The monks of
Hyonjisa are taught to obey the pure precepts
strictly, more so than in any other temple in the
world.  They do not eat even milk, yogurt, or
bread.  They are also taught to practice filial piety,
love  of the nation, respect for their teachers,
compassion, and beneficial actions to others
which constitute the main thought of Buddhism.
On the occasion of the Buddha's Birthdays,
Hyonjisa has actually presented citations with
gifts to those who practiced filial piety to their
parents, and has made donations for the needy
neighbors both at home and abroad for three
years.  We have taken the initiative not only in
words but also in action.  Consequently, some 20
monks of Hyonjisa are the saints who have
escaped from transmigration, and there are also a
number of Bodhisattvas of the Western Pure Land.
Hyonjisa has the perfect Sangha Treasure (僧寶)
as I have mentioned above.
